ALUMINUM

Aluminum is an extraordinarily versatile material. The range of forms it can take (casts, extrusions and pipes, sheet and plate, foil, powder, forging, etc.) and the variety of surface finishes available (coatings, anodizing, lacquering, etc.), many of them we use every day of our lives.

ADVANTAGES OF ALUMINUM

Resistance:Pure aluminum is soft enough to carve, but mixed with small amounts of other metals to form alloys, it can provide the strength of steel at only a third of its weight. There would be no commercial air travel without aluminum.

Durability :Aluminum sprayed onto a polymer creates a thin layer of insulation that can keep a newborn warm or save the life of someone on an exposed mountaintop.

Flexibility: The combination of properties allows aluminum and its alloys to be easily formed by any of the main industrial metalworking processes such as rolling, extrusion, forging and casting.

Sealing: Aluminum has excellent barrier function making it ideal for food and beverage packaging and containers. It keeps air, light and microorganisms out while preserving the contents.

Light :Aluminum used in transportation, which reduces the weight of vehicles, thus providing fuel efficiency, reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Corrosion resistant: The metal's natural aluminum oxide coating provides a highly effective barrier against the destruction of weather, temperature, humidity and chemical attack, making aluminum a useful construction material.

Recycleable: Aluminum can be recycled over and over, using only a tiny fraction of the energy needed to make "new" metal. Recycling saves about 95% of the energy required for primary production.

Other :Aluminum is an excellent electrical conductor and has replaced copper in many electrical applications. It is also non-magnetic and non-flammable, invaluable in advanced industries such as electronics or for offshore structures.
